Full vs. Spot Color

 

Full Color Printing:

 

Full color printing is like looking at a photograph. The process is CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) which blend together to process all colors in the spectrum. Full color is usually rich in look and very eye catching to the viewer or reader. This process is commonly done with marketing materials such as postcards, door hangers, brochures, club cards just to name a few. It is a printing process that prints on larger printing presses. We offer Quantities from 100 and up depending on the product. This process produces a high end quality process and we offer this at very affordable prices.

 

 

This allows you to have a very affordable price for all your printing needs and to get the look your business deserves.

 

For Press Runs the Following is typical: 

 

  • Premium quality printing using four color (CMYK) offset printing.
  • Komori and Heidelberg sheetfed offset presses.
  • Direct to plate 200 Line Screen on every job.
  • Thick, 14-point glossy card stock, coated both sides plus UV coating on the color side(s).
  • 100 lb glossy book or cover stock, coated both sides plus over all aqueos coating.
  • Option to print a) Full color one side b) Full color both sides c) Full color front and black on the back.

  • No hidden costs. Fees include design services, bleeds, text, and set-up. Fees do not include ownership of files (see below for terms).

 

 

 

Spot Color Printing:

 

Spot color printing is a simple process of one, two or three color ink. In this process you can have just Black in printing on a piece, or you might have Black and Blue or Black and Red printing or just Red Ink. 

 

Basically this is a very simple process and it's used widely in an effort to control costs to the buyer. Spot color can be used quite effectively with the use of screens to create a richer more eye catching piece.

 

This process is commonly on any type of media. It is a printing process that prints on smaller printing presses. This process also produces a high quality printing, but does not have the effect that a full color process piece would have.

Things to know:

Access: You must be logged in to access this area

Project Names: You will see the Names of the Projects that you have in process or are regularly requested items. These are typically named with a broad name to allow us the availability to insert all types of tasks under that project name. (For Example: Your Name - Changes ---- this Project Name will be used for any requests you may ask that would fit under the name Changes. It would have requests that would pertain to changes on a web site, changes to a proof, changes to print media etc...)

Project Tasks: If you have tasks that you have requested, you will find them under the Project Name that fits that task the best. (Example: if you requested some changes to a web site, you would look under the project named: Your Name - Changes; if you requested SEO work to be done you would look under the project named Your Name - SEO.

Permissions: You will see navigation buttons, such as NEW, EDIT etc... however if you attempt to click and you go no where, it's because you do not have permission to access that area and that link has been deactivated.

New Projects & Tasks: Only a Quantum Administrator can set up new projects and tasks. Once they have been set up they will automatically show as a Project Name or a Task listed under that Project Name.

Things you can do:

Print: Print any task
Time Tracked: View Tracked Time on the task, if applicable
Comments: Add a comment to the Task and all members associated with that project and task will be notified so that they are aware you have made a comment. The Project Manager or any Quantum Staff member associated with the task will respond to your comment accordingly. Response to comments - requests etc... from a Quantum Team member is governed by our Standard Operating Policy. 
Profile: You can edit your profile, add an avatar (we do ask that you add an avatar). To edit your profile, just click your name in the top right corner after you access one of the Project Names. You will see a menu that displays with choices.

Support and Production Hours:

Support & Production Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm CST.
Support & Production Hours Response Time: Within 4 hours.
Support Emergencies: As deemed by us - The ticket will be escalated and responded to within 2 hours.
